The Spark of Guidance

Every meaningful mission begins with a moment of connection. For Carolina, the inspiration to give back started early in her academic journey.

"When I was 17, just starting college and unsure of my path, I met a professor who was truly passionate about what she did," Carolina shares. "She was patient, genuine, and always encouraging her students. Because of her, I started believing in myself, discovered my potential, and gained confidence in where I was headed."

That pivotal relationship became the blueprint for her involvement with Be Embraced. "That’s just one of many moments in my life where people have supported and shaped me through their guidance, and this inspired me to do the same. This is why I joined Be Embraced: to be part of the reason someone believes in themselves, to be an inspiration for women, to encourage them, and help them see their own light."

Walking Together Through Every Challenge

The core philosophy of Be Embraced is simple yet profound: No woman should have to walk alone. For Carolina, this goes far beyond an organizational tagline—it is a fundamental truth about human connection.

"Everyone needs support, someone to be there, especially during the hard moments," she says. "To me, it means having that kind of presence in each other’s lives and not having to figure everything out by ourselves. Women are incredibly strong and capable of anything they set their minds to, but even the strongest people shouldn’t have to go through challenges alone. We all need encouragement, understanding, and a sense of community. Sometimes, just knowing someone is there for you can make all the difference."

The Power of Genuine Connection

Since joining the board last December, Carolina has focused on optimizing internal operations and improving processes across projects and events. However, her favorite milestones remain the moments where strategy meets real-world impact.

"The events, for sure," she notes when reflecting on her time with the foundation. "I’ve been part of a few events now, and I just love seeing all these women come together and support each other—it feels really genuine. The speakers have been amazing too; I always walk away learning something new. It’s been really nice to see this community grow and how it’s impacting all of us."

Growth Through Shared Vulnerability

Stepping into a leadership role within a community-focused foundation often brings its own personal rewards and moments of profound reflection.

"For me, it’s been hearing other women’s stories," Carolina reflects. "Just listening to what they’ve gone through and how they’re still pushing forward made me realize I’m not alone in my day-to-day struggles. It’s comforting and really motivating. It reminds me that we’re all going through something, and seeing their strength pushes me to keep going and keep growing."

As Be Embraced looks toward the future, Carolina is focused on leveraging structure and innovation to expand the foundation's reach, ensuring that the infrastructure supports sustainable growth.

"Reaching more women is what excites me the most," she says. "Being able to grow, connect with more people, and expand what we do—more services, more projects, and more ways to support women. Just knowing we can help more women feel seen, supported, and empowered is what keeps me dedicated to this growing community."
